“The Best Advice – what you can learn from world class photographers” by author Frank Arnold
From the magazine intro: “Top photographers like Daisy Gilardini, David Yarrow, Delphine Diallo, Joel Marklund, Kadir von Lohuizen, Kristian Schuller, Marie Bärsch, Marsel van Oosten, Matthias Hangst, Robert Bösch or Tali Pelosi fascinate us because they capture magical moments in a unique way - from enchanting landscapes, to a dreamlike animal world, to the elementary events of human life. Their special view of the world, their will to perfection, their passion and perseverance, as well as their courage and entrepreneurship are fascinating and exemplary - in the truest sense of the word. It is as interesting as it is useful to deal with the authentic experiences and insights of real experts."

05.21 NEW BIG 5 - POLAR BEARS
I am delighted that people around the world have voted for polar bears to be one of the NewBig 5 of wildlife photography, not only because they are my favourite animals but most importantly because they need to be protected.
Polar bears are a keystone species. They keep the fragile Arctic ecosystem in balance and help other species survive.
They are at the top of their food chain, but they have one predator of their own: humans. Armed with guns.
Every year, anywhere from 3-4% of the estimated population of 26,000 — the equivalent of 800 to 1,000 individuals bears — are killed by humans.
This has to stop!

02.18 SEALEGACY – THE TIDE TRAILER
As of November, 2017 I’ve been a member of SeaLegacy’s “The Collective”, a group of respected, world-renowned photographers and filmmakers who together reach more than 6.3 million people. Together, The Collective bring decades of experience and a diverse set of skills to documenting marine ecosystems and life at the water’s edge. We are committed to amplifying SeaLegacy’s mission to sustain healthy and abundant oceans, for us and for the planet, by sharing our work and lending our influence.
SeaLegacy has created “The Tide”, a passionate community of people that are committed , through a monthly contribution, to supporting SeaLegacy’s work. Members of The Tide are afforded a behind-the-scenes look at our expeditions to the farthest corners of the planet,. They help lead the charge in our campaigns, and witness incredible ocean projects come to life around the world.
In December, monthly Tide donors had the opportunity to submit question to me to answer.
I was interviewed between expeditions in my beloved Pacific Spirit Park, just outside my doorstep in beautiful Vancouver, and answered very interesting questions – from the most shocking moments of my career to my secrets in capturing intimate animal portraits.
Join The Tide to receive first access to the behind-the-scenes interviews on the Tide Members’ Hub and hear my story of how I broke free from a financially successful but unsatisfying office career to become a full time wildlife photographer.
