BEHIND THE SCENE

Arctic foxes are found throughout the Arctic region, and are extremely well adapted to the cold. A beautiful white winter coat, coupled with short ears and noses and furry foot soles, help them survive in this harsh environment.

Arctic foxes are predators, but they’re also preyed on by other predators. They have to fear eagles, wolves, wolverines and their larger cousins, red foxes.

Red foxes are intruding into Arctic foxes’ territories because of the warming climate, and that leads to competition for the same food resources.
